Thanksgiving Recap

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday and stuffed your faces as much as we did!  As much as I absolutely love sweet potato souffle, there is too much of a good thing.  Except pumpkin pie.  I love pumpkin pie.

As has become customary on the Jordan side of the family, we celebrated with dinner on Friday followed by a trip to Ted Drewes for a Charlie Brown tree.

Birthday Bliss

For my birthday, pedicures with Paula and Kayla at Beautiful Nails. Next up is lunch with mom and dad followed by a nap. Then, game night tonight... Bring on the trivia!

Kayla is Back!

Kayla and Paula flew into town late Friday night for the Thanksgiving holiday.  A whole week of fun with Little Ms. Kay!  Papa Fred was oh so happy to have all of the grandkids (minus Danny who is too smart to get into this mess) on his lap to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks.

A Little Hint...

My birthday is just one week away and I'm sure you all are scratching your heads and thinking, "What do I get the girl who has everything?"  (Everything being two adorable buggers and a handsome husband.)

To ease your shopping burden, I've taken the time to list a few things that would just make me plum giddy to receive:

1.) Shea Body Butter -- the best stuff on the planet for winter weather;
2.) Allure -- my signature scent;
3.) Sephora Gift Cards -- need to get some new makeup and travel-sized stuff;
4.) Container Store Gift Cards -- I'm all about the organization!;
5.) Albums -- I'm eyeing up the blue one for Drew and the green one for Ben

That should about cover it for 2008... I'm not going to be greedy.  Christmas is right around the corner!

We Bleed Blue

Lizzie had a few extra Blues tickets laying around the house so Brad, the boys and I joined her in the club seats (yay! free food!) at Sunday night's game.  Too bad they lost, although we left after the second period while it was still tied up.  Maybe we were their good luck charm?

So much for trivia night... all a rouse to get Richie to the Midwest Soccer Academy for his surprise 30th birthday party.  Wasn't it fun?  I know I had fun... (so much fun I had to take two Excedrin when I woke up this morning.)  Lizzie, you did a fabulous job!  Please let me post the slideshow of Rich here... Please?  (For those of you not in attendance, you missed out on a very cute "through the years" video.)

I let Drew loose with the camera to take pictures of the fun while I indulged in a few party drinks with my mother.  After weeding through shots of the ceiling, the floor, someone's watch, the walls, etc. I was able to piece together these photos.  (Feel free to comment on who some of the people are in the photos... would be greatly appreciated!)

Happy early 30th, Richie...  you don't look a day over 12!

Friday Night Fun

With nothing else to do on a Friday night, we decided to head up to the rec center and see if Ben was coordinated enough to handle ice skating.  Drew has also been bugging us lately to take him skating again as Pucksters is getting ready to start soon.

Ben was FANTASTIC on skates and loved it... he skated much longer than Drew so we might have a new little hockey player in our house!  Check out the video:

Mummy Time

Drew and Brad have the day off school today and decided to go to the Art Museum of all places. (Drew's exact words were something like, "I want to go where the mummies are.") Brad has been sending me pics from his iPhone as I slave away behind this desk all day, making miracles happen online for the high-end furniture category in a recession.

(The Good Lord knew what he was doing when he gave me 2 buggers... we'd be broke as a joke if we had a girl!)
