We just got back from a quick weekend trip to Memphis and boy, did these buggers have a blast! I think my very favorite thing of all was when Ben woke up Saturday morning and said, "I'm ready to have some more fun!"
We left Friday morning and stopped briefly in Sikeston, MO (the halfway point) for lunch at Lambert's. Friday night we hit Beale Street which was packed as the NCAA March Madness tournament was held at the FedEx Forum. We had a ton of fun walking up and down the closed street and stopped for dinner at Dyer's. The best part of the night was probably the Trolley ride around downtown and along the riverfront. While walking to see the famous Peabody Ducks, we ran into the entire UNC basketball team walking out of the hotel to their shuttle and police escort to the game. So fun!
Saturday was spent at Graceland and wandering around Germantown as well as Brad's old neighborhood. A ton of time was spent in the hotel pool -- thank goodness for Holiday Inn Express with an indoor pool! Dinner Saturday night at Neely's BBQ and then back to the pool!
Sunday -- shocking -- we spent the morning in the pool and then headed home. A very quick trip but just long enough with these two buggers. Glad to be back!
