This past weekend was a scorcher but we had to get the boys out of the house on Sunday as they were going to tear the place down if we confined them to the AC any longer. After tossing out several ideas that involved sweating profusely in the sun, Brad and I settled on taking a drive out to Eureka to ride through the woods on the Wabash Frisco Pacific Railroad. Drew remembered our last trip out there but Ben didn't so it was fun to surprise him and watch his excitement.
You can see pictures from our quick trip here on Flickr.
I'd like to mention here that we finally upgraded our camera to the new Canon Rebel XSI... a very expensive and very fancy digital SLR that I'm still learning to use. (Normally I would not have spent so much on a camera however Aunt Marie was very generous to her nieces and nephews in her will.)
The photos it can take are amazing! Here are a few of my favorites from this weekend:
Aren't those blue eyes amazing??? He is a piece of work sometimes but my gosh I love his gorgeous eyelashes!
Another adorable little bugger... with a hairline exactly like his father's.
Aunt Marie, thank you... You will forever be missed and always remembered.
